How to test VW Lupo or Audi A2 3L pressure accumulator function and change it if needed     More info

This video shows how you can test if yor pressure accumulator is working correctly. After testing it show how you can change it if needed. You should be able to make 3 gear changes if your system is working correctly. If you keep some 5 minut pause between testing you can figure out if your system is leaking hydraulic pressure if the number of changes is smaller after waiting a little while.

If your pressure accumulator is not working correctly the risk of gear change failure is big because there is not enough pressure for accurate gear change. which leads to expensive gearbox repair

If you find out that your system is leaking hydraulic pressure you can first try to change that accumulator.

If you system is leaking hydraulic oil check system for leaks and on my lupo 3L Redline Power steering fluid stopped minor leaking totally ;).
