2001.5 Audi B5 A4 / S4 Hood Latch Repair / Recondition / Fix (Easy DIY)

I was having trouble getting my hood open thanks to an overly corroded hood latch. Here's a quick video with simple steps to repair / recondition your hood latch and save yourself $70 from buying a new one.

Grab yourself a 10mm socket / ratchet, a wire brush, a can of white lithium grease and some paper towels.

Note: I'm pretty sure the B5 S4 doesn't have its own unique hood latch, so this video should also apply to the B5 A4 and maybe some of the other Audi / VW models. (feel free to comment below and let me know if this worked on yours)
