Fixing Audi A8 D2 Fan bearing     More info

My attempt at repairing my old 1999 A8's fan bearing. After a 500 mile trip up to Wyoming through driving snow and 70mph winds I came home to find an expensive sounding noise coming from the front of the car. Great it's sounds like it's just the fan, a simple $80 part. Once the fan was off I realized it was infact the bearing in the flange that the fan attached too, $420!

[update May 2014 - she's still alive but needs a new control arm)
