I have an Audi A4, 1,8 TFSI 160HK from 2008 (B8).

The problem is that the motor lamp is turned on and the cause hasn’t been identified yet.

It started 1½ years ago. The motor lamp was turned on a few months with no logical cause and after that it turned off for a few months as well. Then it turned on again a few months until the yearly service where “valve for variable intake” (..hope the translation is correct) was replaced and the computer reset. It had no effect as the lamp turned on again after a few days. This has been the case for about a year despite several tests. After each test the computer has been reset the lamp is turned off, but only for a few days until it turns on again and stays lid.

The error code is the same both before and after the valve replacement.

There are error codes from two different systems:

1. OPUS (I think that is the name)

Control unit: E8

DTC: P2015

Description: Variable intake, positionsensorcurcuit, area/performanceproblem

2. Hella Gutmann Diagnostics

Error code: 2968

Description: Variabel intake tube row 1 – contact/feedbacksensorsignal out of regulation

The car has performed impeccable, though a tendency to high idle which is visible when I brake at a traffic light.

..hope there are somebody who can help identify the problem.
