Hi,

I was hoping you guys may be able to help, I have a 2003 TT with the BHE vr6, I bought the car cheap with a persistent engine light and I am at my wit's end with it!

Upon first scanning the vehicle it threw the faults for cruise control speed sensor, and camshaft sensor 1 & 2\ crankshaft sensor incorrect correlation. I could find out the exact codes if that would help. There was also a horrifying rattle from the gearbox end, so I decided replacing the timing chain was necessary as I did not know the history.

When I replaced the. Chain all guides were worn and the intermediate sprocket was missing 5 teeth throughout the repair I followed the manual exactly and kept referring to it for the correct timing etc..

This fixed my rattle and sluggish performance but what it didn't fix was my dreaded EPC light. This lead me to think the camshaft sensors are faulty so I proceeded to test them and the wiring to them with the trusty multimeter and all readings were as the manual suggested they should be except I am only getting 5V at the power leads to both sensors when the battery is at 12.

So my question is, has anyone run into a similar issue? If so how was it fixed? And why am I only getting 5V at the power wire for the hall sensors? Is that my issue?

Thanks for any help in advance
