I have a 08 TT 3.2 v6 and was wondering how to change the Haldex filter and oil. I bought the parts from ECS Tunning but can’t seem to locate it. Searched everywhere.

iceman: The Haldex fluid is super easy, just like a smaller-scale oil change. There are two bolts on the rear Haldex differential unit you need to use, one is a fill(higher) and one is a drain(lower). The drain is on the front bottom of the case right below where the prop [drive] shaft connects, toward the driver side. It is a large allen socket head bolt. The fill is torx plug screw on the upper left (driver) side of the case just in front of where the left rear half shaft comes out. Put a pan under it, remove both of those and drain the oil. Once it's mostly done dripping, put the drain bolt back in. Go to the other (right) side and you'll see a large round 2" dia plug with a hex center, this is the filter cap. You need a big short socket to get it off, but behind there is the filter. Remove the plug and more fluid will drain out so move the pan over. Once its drained, pull out the black round plastic filter part with the spring on the back. Remember how it went in so you can put the new filter in the same way. After that is back in and you put the hex plug back in tight, go back to the left/driver side and pump the new Haldex fluid into the fill hole. It takes one quart/1 L of fluid which is about to the bottom of the fill hole. It will let you know when it's full when the fluid begins to come back out the hole. Lastly, put the fill plug back in and you're done.

An excellent writeup with pictures is on another forum here (Golf MkV R32 and TT have the same Haldex unit): https://www.golfmkv.com/f...s/showthread.php?t=133386
