Every now and again Audi hold a historic car & bike rally in their home town of Ingolstadt. Its a very laid back afair. There are very few restrictions and no 'Parc Ferme'. As long as you behave yourself you can almost sit in the passengers seat while they warm up the cars. I had planned to get a video of the cars being prepared in the workshop area before being brought out but as I approached I could see that I was too late and the cars had already been wheeled out. Imagine my surprise when the Auto Union Type C was wheeled right up to me, stopped and was started right in front of me. It looks set up but it was a genuine coincidence. Everyone in shot is a bystander except the two guys at the back of the car. The chap to the left with the red sleeved jacket is the Audi Motor-Meister. I had a chance to talk to him later and he told me that the priming fluid is alcohol, benzene, nitro-methane and 'some other things'. The Donau Ring event is like the IOM TT.
