Please note that the above video was taken on a closed course with a professional driver assisting on a 2.5 mile runway specifically set up for high speed runs. Every possible safety measure was taken including detailed vehicle inspection, tire inspection, highly visible lift and brake markers, race helmet requirements, zero tolerance alcohol testing, many safety marshals and a lot of other safety features (too many to list). Obviously, a run at this speed should only happen with conditions such as described above; attempting these speeds on the street is irresponsible and criminal and should face the full extent of the law.
